A certain amount of stress is a normal part of our daily lives.  Believe it or not, it can even be helpful. 

It can empower us to move forward in making decisions, meeting deadlines, to being healthier, making better choices, being more assertive as well as more joyful, passionate, productive, and positive.

However, when stress is impacting your relationships or areas of your life where you once felt joy and meaning, then it is signalling you to pay attention, it’s time to reach out for help.

When a person is able to recognize and minimize her stress, she begins to feel stronger and that there are choices.

​People know when they are feeling stressed.  They know they want to feel better and be happier.  They want things to be different personally/professionally but they may not know how to go about changing things, or they may have made past attempts that didn’t work out or last.

When people decide they want to change something about themselves or a situation they generally start off with great enthusiasm but then the momentum begins to dwindle.

They may have seen some results and then then become discouraged because things didn’t work out the way they envisioned or expected, or they had a setback, or they slipped back into old patterns of thinking.

Sometimes people begin to second guess themselves, or they stop before they really ever began.
